Volunteering at Mackellar

To Our School Community,

NBSC Mackellar Girls Campus P&C Assoc provides a service to coordinate volunteers on behalf of the school community. A great benefit of parents and guardians volunteering in school is the value it places on the our child’s education and interests. It shows our children and students that their education is an important investment to the parent or guardian. It is also a great way to help our youth understand the value of helping out in the community when and where there is a need and being a part of something for the greater good. Volunteer work in any capacity is so important and specifically within the school, it can be such a powerful way for parents and guardians to lead by example.

Our school community do volunteering for various reasons, here are some of the comments we have received from our 2024 cohort

  • “ I find volunteering as a way to be active in my daughter’s experience at school “ – a year 7 mum

  • “ School is an important aspect of our daughter’s growing up. It is an excellent way to provide support to this school in a meaningful way “ – a year 8 mum

  • “ We meet and interact with the school community “ – a year 8 dad

  •  “ There are so many different ways to volunteer at the school – the flexibility means I can easily volunteer around my commitments. – a year 9 dad

  •  “ I have met many parents through volunteering and formed friendships ” – a year 10 mum
